The VIMS Marine Advisory Program/Virginia Sea Grant Extension education team offers resources and services in ocean sciences education for diverse audiences. If you are a teacher or a student, have a professional or personal interest in the ocean, or just a desire to learn more about marine environments and issues we have something of interest for you!

For Educators & Parents

We offer teacher workshops at regional and national education events and sponsor graduate-level courses each summer. Our oh-so-easy to implement lesson plans and extensive collection of teaching resources cover hot topics in marine science education and will put your students on the fast track to ocean literacy. Be sure to visit our VA SEA and Bridge projects for lesson plans and check out our Multimedia Resource Center for a wide selection of videos, webcams, AquaKids adventures, creature profiles, and much more!
