3. Analysis Methods

3.1 Link to Oyster Density and Biomass

Pages describing management and rebuilding of resources emphasized the need to understand the dynamics of both the living oysters and the shell components of the associated reef structure when developing management plans.  The Analysis Methods section describes the components contributing to that overall structure. In particular, we address estimation of mean oyster density, biomass in terms of dry tissue weight and its relationship to shell length, age structure, mortality (and hence survival), and shell volume.
