2011 Special Award Winners From L: Kevin Kiley (Community Service), Raymond Forrest (Facilities/Safety/Trades), Rita Crockett (Technical Support), Mark LaGuardia (Professional Faculty), Cindy Hornsby (Administrative), and Scott Marion (Research/Advisory Service).
Outstanding Faculty Researcher Award Professor Robert "JJ" Orth (R) was honored with the 2011 Outstanding Faculty Researcher Award. Presenting the certificate is VIMS Dean and Director John Wells.

Dean and Director John Wells of the Virginia Institute of Marine Science announced winners of the 2011 VIMS Service and Student awards 
during a ceremony in Watermen's Hall that was attended by a large and enthusiastic audience of VIMS faculty, staff, students, and their family members.
During the ceremony, Wells also noted the many external awards and accomplishments earned by members of the VIMS community in 2011, and furthermore recognized VIMS employees for Years of Service in 5-year categories between 5 and 50 years.
