William “Trey” Fary is the Marine Lab Stationary Engineer for the Seawater Research Laboratory at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. Prior to arriving at VIMS, Trey worked at several public utilities in the area including 10 years as the Plant Manger for the Gloucester Public Utilities. In total, he has more than 25 years of experience in the municipal water treatment industry.
Trey’s primary duties are to maintain and streamline the infrastructure of the aquatic life support systems at SRL. He also aids the Facilities Management staff with other projects around campus.
Trey and his wife are lifelong Gloucester residents who are actively engaged in the local community. They have two children.
