ESL Water Quality Monitoring

The Virginia Institute of Marine Science Eastern Shore Laboratory (VIMS ESL) has established continuous water quality monitoring stations in the Wachapreague (37° 36’ 27.80’’N 75° 41’ 08.93’’W) and Willis Wharf (37°30'44.22"N 75°48'22.40"W), Virginia. Both monitoring stations are maintained using a YSI EXO2 data sonde with a telemetry and control system by Green Eyes, LLC. Funding for the Willis Wharf station was provided by Steve and Barbara Johnsen, and site and utilities are provided by Cherrystone Aqua Farms.
