Exciting changes are afloat at the School of Marine Science at VIMS! Join Dr. Linda Schaffner, VIMS alumna & Associate Dean of Academic Studies, fellow-alum Dr. Molly Mitchell M.S. ’03, Ph.D. ’18, and John Griffin, Assistant Director for Admissions and Student Affairs, for a conversation about happenings on campus, student professional development initiatives, and the new VIMS M.A. professional degree program. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and interact with others.

  3. Once you are signed up and Zoom is downloaded on your computer, you can simply click on the link provided in the confirmation email you received after registering to access the meeting.

If you want to participate in the event without downloading Zoom on your computer, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to https://zoom.us/
  2. Click "Join a Meeting" in the upper right
  3. Enter the meeting ID (provided in the confirmation email you received after registering)
  4. Click "Join"
  5. Enter the meeting password (provided in the confirmation email you received after registering)
  6. Click "Join Meeting" to be admitted to the meeting

My alma mater, the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, is currently welcoming applications for a new interdisciplinary Professional M.A. in Marine Science. The M.A. program is designed to produce graduates with the advanced knowledge, skills, and experience needed to translate, integrate, and apply marine science to issues of pressing societal concern. Students will join both the globally recognized Virginia Institute of Marine Science and William & Mary communities to provide critical marine science research, education, and advisory services.
