MAP Aquaculture
The Marine Advisory Program at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science has been a leader in marine aquaculture initiatives across the Commonwealth. Efforts during recent years have focused on the production of soft-shell blue crabs, oyster gardening, and the culture of marine finfish for food, stock enhancement, or live bait.
