Biological Sciences
The Department of Biological Sciences brings together biologists from a variety of disciplines to explore and elucidate the biological, physical, and human-induced forces governing marine ecosystems on local and global scales. Results are used to inform resource managers and policymakers on issues of local, national, and international significance. Faculty and students enjoy close collaboration with scientists in other departments at VIMS.
