Sook or Jimmie?

Male blue crabs (L) are called Jimmies. Their abdomen is shaped like the Washington Monument. Females (R) are called Sooks. Their abdomen looks like the dome of the U.S. Capitol. © K. Forrest. I learned how to hold a crab and how we can tell if it is a female or a male.
