DaNika Neblett Robinson has over 25 years of finance and administration experience, currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer of the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. She develops, disseminates, and enforces financial policies and procedures. DaNika is also responsible for developing and submitting Institutional operating and capital outlay budget requests to the Governor and General Assembly for consideration. She formulates and executes strategic financial and operational plans. DaNika actively engages in board meetings for the W&M Board of Visitors, VIMS Foundation, and the Center for Applied Marine Science and Technology. Her leadership style is rooted in authentic, servant, and transformational leadership theory which she uses when partnering collaboratively and confidentially with department heads, faculty, and staff in facilitating resolutions of problems/issues in financial processes that impede efficiency and effectiveness of operations. DaNika’s research interests include leadership development and succession planning.
