Hatchery replacement

Replacements:

Administration Building will house administrative/staff offices, conference room, and a public display lobby.

Maintenance and Fabrication shop features a drive through high bay section, machinery area, parts/inventory storage, and staff offices.

The Visitors Center replaces Owens House with the ability to handle groups of up to 24 persons, designed so the quarters use can be reduced by half for groups of 12 or less.  Common kitchen, eating and lounge area with high vaulted ceiling.

The replacement  Castagna Research Hatchery will continue to focus on high salinity aquaculture support and research.

New Facility:

The Research and Teaching building has labs for molecular biology, microbiology, algae culture, benthic ecology with our invertebrate reference collection and herbarium (thanks Jim Perry!), 20 L carboy-sized autoclave and media/chem prep areas, elemental analysis sample prep, offices, classroom space similar to that in Seaside Hall but with lab benches.
