Jellyfish Sightings

The Virginia Institute of Marine Science is proud to partner with JellyWatch^©, a free public-service app developed by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute.

JellyWatch^© allows people to report and view sightings of jellyfish and other marine animals. Reporting is quick and easy and no account is required.

Avoid jellyfish by checking local sightings before you head to the beach. Report sightings to help others avoid jellyfish and contribute to our scientific understanding of jellyfish behavior.
