Ms. MacDonald serves as administrative liaison for the FS&TR and Dean's Ad Hoc Committees. She provides faculty training for Digital Measures and collaborates with faculty to request system changes to fit their reporting needs. She completes research and draft preparation for documentation as required for new policies and procedures. Ms. MacDonald assists in creation of designated new positions and classification/compensation review of existing positions in PeopleAdmin and also serves as the W&M Human Resources Liaison. In addition, she is the Workers' Compensation Representative, responsible for new worker briefing, claims submission and coordination of return to work.
Education and Experience
Libby began working at VIMS as a laboratory specialist for Dr. Rebecca Dickhut in 1989. She continued in that capacity full-time until 1996 and returned intermittently to process samples associated with various projects through 2012. She has also worked as greenhouse manager for the W&M Biology Department and as a bookkeeper for a remodeler and a Newport News law firm. She received a BS in Agronomy and an MS in Crop Science from N.C. State University.
