Growth Rate and Condition Indices

VIMS researchers will determine the rate of oyster growth on a quarterly basis by measuring shell size (length, width, and depth) of 100 randomly selected oysters at each VSC grow-out site. They will concurrently measure the condition of these animals by recording the biomass of their soft tissues.
