Current Research: Climate Change

Climate is arguably the greatest challenge confronting society today. No component of natural and managed ecosystems is immune to its impact. Following 2007 Congressional testimony on “Global warming and wildlife impacts in the Commonwealth of Virginia” and service on the 2008 Virginia Governors Climate Change Commission the VIMS community developed a series of short information papers on climate change. In addition, public presentations on this subject as part of a coordinated information effort sponsored by the Pew Foundation have been ongoing.
