Household hazardous waste:
This includes cleaning solvents, aerosol cans, fluorescent bulbs (including CFLs), mercury thermometers, smoke alarms, furniture polish, chlorine bleach, drain cleaner, lighter fluid, kerosene, brake fluid, antifreeze, batteries, oil-based paint, paint thinner, pesticides, ammunition, epoxies, and propane tanks.
Household hazardous waste can be recycled at:
- Middle Peninsula Landfill and Recycling Center, 3rd Saturday of April
- Guinea Road Convenience Center, 3rd Saturday of October

The drop-off facility is at 145 Goodwin Neck Rd, open Mon-Sat 8am-4pm.
Computers may be recycled on the 2nd Saturday in July and November.
