Resonance: Haulien
Harbor, Taiwan, ROC
- A man-made harbor located on the middle east of Taiwan, facing the Pacific Ocean.
- During typhoon seasons, frequent harbor resonances were reported every year.
- Current available data indicate that harbor oscillation occurred at the frequency around of 150 -160s.
- Possible remediations are still under studies
- Large amplitude of infragravity waves (150 -160 s) were reported at wharf #8 and #22.
