The plot below portrays the results of applying the Whitehouse-Soulsby equations for scour related burial to the situation of seabed mines over a gridded model of the MVCO Experiment Site. The model is based on a 15 m grid of bathymetry and a bimodal distribution of grain size determined from side-scan sonar and sediment samples.
Interactive users can adjust inputs such as the x and y index of the reported grid cell. Additionally control exists for grain size multiplier, mine diameter, and wave multiplier factor.
