The plot below portrays the results of applying the Whitehouse-Soulsby equations for scour related burial to the situation of seabed mines over a gridded model of the Indian Rocks Beach Experiment Site. The model is based on a 15 m grid of bathymetry and a bimodal distribution of grain size determined from side-scan sonar and sediment samples.
Interactive users can adjust inputs such as the latitude and longitude of the reported grid cell. Additionally control exists for grain size multiplier, mine diameter, wave factor, and start/stop time of the model.
