An adaptive approach to enhance eastern oyster (Crassostrea virginica) in the Piankatank River, Chesapeake Bay, Virginia
Objectives

The project's three main objectives were to:
1. Increase suitable habitat for larval oyster settlement as measured by the acres of hard substrate available within the estuary.
2. Increase the oyster population size as measured by the total oyster biomass present within the estuary.
3. Increase oyster settlement rates as measured by the average oyster settlement or recruitment observed in the estuary.
