Using MailMan at VIMS

• Endymion MailMan is a browser-based email program that is particularly useful when away from VIMS, although it can be used right here on campus.
• MailMan takes advantage of the local internet service provider (ISP) to access, view, and send email without having it automatically download to the computer you are using.
• Open the browser of your choice (Internet Explorer, Netscape, other) .
• Browse to the VIMS MailMan site (http://www.vims.edu/mailman/).
• Select "secure" (highly recommended) or "unsecure" connection.
• Login with your VIMS user ID and password.

You can read, reply, forward, add attachments, and perform other common email functions all on the web without the expense and hassle of a long distance call, or software installation.

To get a local print copy of your email, use the web browser "Print Frame" feature, found under the File toolbar at the top of the page. To save a copy of a sent email, simply "cc" a copy to yourself.
