Introduction

    This document presents a review of Joint Permit Applications containing proposed nontidal wetland impacts from 1991-1993 in Virginia. This review was structured to identify geographic areas of permit activity, and types of nontidal wetlands impacted in Virginia. All data were used as the basis for recommendations on the use of a science-based advisory program to support the Department of Environmental Quality's 401 Program.
