Research Interests:
My research interests include the reconstruction or enhancement of
existing wetlands and the creation of wetlands for mitigation purposes.
Additionally I'm involved in the investigation of specific adaptations
used by wetland plants for surviving in saturated soils. I work on the
identification of coastal plain flora and tidal wetland plant assemblages
including the area of wetland ecology. I am presently monitoring the growth of
native and non-native Phragmaites.
Current Projects:
- Nontidal wetland identification and delineation program
- Tidal wetland education curriculum prigram
- Tidal and nontidal wetland plant identification program
