Environmental Education Interests:
I am excited to get students, teachers, and the general public engaged in their local environment by providing them with marine science field, lab, and classroom experiences. I also enjoy working with local teachers to help them integrate correlating environmental concepts into their classrooms. The main focus of the education program at CBNERRVA is the Chesapeake Studies for Gloucester and Mathews County Middle Schools project, where we link field trips on the Chesapeake Bay with the classroom for all 7th grade students in the local area. The project has been a success for the past two years and will hopefully continue in the future.
