Hargis Library Endowment

A strong library is vital for any research and graduate education institution such as VIMS. The Hargis Library Endowment was established to ensure the VIMS library maintains one of the finest collections in the country.

Dr. Linda Schaffner and her husband, guitarist Stephen Bennett, developed the Acoustic Master's Series to support the library. The series brought the world's leading acoustic guitarists to VIMS during 2002. The endowment, as well as the entire VIMS community, thanks Linda and Stephen for their hard work and dedication and especially for their outstanding entertainment.
