Central Shark -A great interactive site that poses a humorous debate over "coolness" between sharks and dolphins. Students have an opportunity to learn more about the biology of sharks and dolphins and take part in online activities.

Ocean AdVENTure - Take this virtual tour of hydrothermal vents to learn the basics about vents, how they're studied, the associated biology and geology, and consider the ethics about vent mining. This site also has a forum for discussion and learning activities.

Oceanography Careers-Women in Marine Sciences - "Women Oceanographers is a fantastic website with profiles on 12 remarkable women with careers in oceanography. Each profile includes a biography, a typical work week, background information, photos, links to learn more, a video interview and in-depth information about one topic in which they are involved. Sea Urchin Embryology - Advanced high school level laboratory activities using sea urchins to observe fertilization and early developmental stages.
