National Marine Educators Association Awards - Applications available for Outstanding Teacher Award, James Centorino (non-traditional educator) Award, Marine Education Award, and Honorary Member Award. Applications due May 1.

Grant Writing Resources from Carolina Biological Supply - This site provides step-by-step guidelines for teachers who are first-time grant proposal writers, as well as useful tips for experienced proposal authors. Includes a page of links to sources of grants for classroom teachers and schools.

SeaWorld/Busch Gardens Environmental Excellence Award - Available to K-12 school groups that have outstanding enviromental projects. Eight schools will receive $10,000 for their school and one teacher will receive $5,000.

Toshiba America Foundation - Small grants awarded to K-12 grade classroom teachers for projects designed to improve science and mathematics education. For K-6 awards up to $1,000 application deadline is Oct. 1. For 7-12 grade grants over $5,000 application deadlines are Feb. 1 and Aug. 1. For 7-12 grade grants under $5,000 applications accepted year-round.
