This is an aerial photograph taken on 11/14/02 over the Susquehanna flats at an altitude of approximately 12,000 ft. The SAV beds on the flats are seen as dark shapes against the lighter bottom and are noted by the red arrow on the photo. In 2002, more SAV was mapped on the flats and it was more dense than at any other time in the eighteen-year history of the annual SAV aerial survery.
