Flickr™ is a web-based tool for sharing images and video. Those who view the images can add their own descriptive "tags," providing a community-based means of organizing and cataloging the myriad images available on the on-line site. As of November 2008, Flickr claims to host more than 3 billion images.

The VIMS Flickr page allows our friends to view photos of VIMS people and research, and to post the own photos of VIMS events, Bay scenery, and marine creatures.
