Lower Chesapeake Bay

"The most distinctive thing about this year’s bloom has been its unusually long duration and greatly expanded distribution. Huge portions of the Bay show dense patches—likely of Alexandrium monilatum—that now extend at least as far north as the Maryland/Virginia line, and eastward to the Eastern Shore."
