Sustainability at VIMS

VIMS east campus

The goal of sustainability at VIMS is to help facilitate and strengthen the Institute’s commitment to energy and resource conservation. In addition, we aspire to have our campuses become useful tools and serve as models in the VIMS outreach and advisory service missions.

Currently there are two groups focused on sustainability at VIMS, the Institute’s Committee on Sustainability (COS) and the Green Team, an interest group formed by students and staff. The development and implementation of the master plan for the Gloucester Point and Eastern Shore campuses has been an initial focus.
