Research interests

Some of the most important issues facing the international community are the anthropogenic effects on aquatic environments.  I am interested in conducting research that is applicable to such issues affecting the global community, in particular, the effects of contaminants (i.e. heavy metals) on the population and community of organisms in aquatic environments.  I am also extremely interested in developing and executing science education and outreach programs in under served communities.

Teaching Experience

While working with Minority Aviation Education Association (MAEA), I had the opportunity to teach science programs in a variety of K-16 classrooms across the country.  I also have experience in teaching professional development courses for teachers in grades K-16 and developing science curriculums for grades K-12.
