VIMS Foundation

The VIMS Foundation advises and assists the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, promotes philanthropy to and stewards the philanthropic resources of the VIMS Foundation, and its members act as allies and ambassadors to position VIMS as the preeminent leader in coastal and estuarine science and education for Virginia and the world.

William & Mary Board of Visitors
VIMS is a state agency, established in the Code of Virginia, and an institution of higher education with a tripartite mission of research, education, and advisory services. It is governed by the Board of Visitors of William & Mary, of which it is a part.
